In addition to the dinner, there will also be an exclusive release of Mega Mamba, the imperial version of our award winning Mamba.

1st course
Creamy risotto with parmigiano reggiano, chanterelle mushrooms, fried shallot and scallions
Beer pairing-Filbert Lager

Intermezzo
Mega Mamba taster followed by Mamba sorbet

2nd course
Cocoa braised beef short ribs, chocolate buerre blanc, potato/parsnip gnocchi, with root vegetables.

Vegetarian option
Same entree as 2nd course but omit short rib, add cherry beurre blanc

3rd course

Yes, this post is a little late. We’ve been operating the storefront since just before Thanksgiving Day and needless to say, we’ve been a little busy.
I’d like to say a big, fat, thank you! We have the best fans in the world and you all have made us feel so welcome in downtown Salem.

The Gilgamesh Seasonal Store and Winter Ale House is located in downtown Salem on the Court st. side of the Reed Opera House.

We have 8 beers on tap, and tons of merch for sale. We also fill growlers and liter bottles here.

There is always live music on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night.

2011 HOLIDAY PACKS

RESERVE YOUR 2011 HOLIDAY PACK TODAY! This year there will be FOUR 1-liter flip-top bottles and an insulated reusable grocery bag (complete with a Gilgamesh logo). The current plan is for the selection to include Cranberry Saison, Chocolate Mint Stout, HopScotch, and Mamba, although this is subject to change as we have brewed a winter ale with molasses and we may substitute it.

$40 ($50 value). We are shooting for having them available Dec 1. Email lani@gilgameshbrewing.com with reservations.

Some of you are sure to be saddened by the news that the Jasmine Hefeweizen is gone. We know, it’s hard being in a relationship with a seasonal beer.

But don’t fret! We have not one, not two, but THREE new beers to help ease the pain this fall. Stay tuned for announcements and introductions!

(A lot of people know the name DJ Jazzy Hef, take a close look at the picture above for a hint about it’s successor…)

Please join us at the Albany Art & Air Festival this Friday through Sunday. There will be hot air balloons, a night glow & laser show, planes on display, car shows, fun runs, a kids art village, lots of live music, and now GILGAMESH BREWING! Bring your growlers to fill or buy our new refillable 1-liter bottles to enjoy some brews in the park. Or stop in for a few pints to enjoy in the warm sun while listening to great music, including Joan Jett!

Join us on Saturday for a growler day! We’ll be serving free samples, selling pints, and filling growlers from 2pm to 10pm. The band, Old Age, will be performing starting around 8pm. We have arranged for a taco cart to be there with some tasty grub, so bring your appetites too!

FATHERS DAY CELEBRATION

Come help us celebrate Fathers Day at the brewery this weekend! Bring your dad, or if you are one make your kids treat you to some fun. If he can’t join you, commemorate dad by raising a glass to him. Come sample our beer, buy pints and get your growlers filled.

We’ll be open Friday from 4:00 to around 10:00pm and Saturday 2:00 till mom decides dad doesn’t need to be celebrated anymore. Enjoy catered BBQ and live music (Jettison Bend and Kopath Bear will both be playing on Friday; Lance Kinnaird and Broke Down Dicks are playing on Saturday). While kids are not allowed in the actual brewery, we are very family-friendly. Seating may be limited so you might want to bring your own lawn chair.

We’re also doing an early release of our summer seasonal Mint Kolcsh this weekend. It will only be available at the brewery for the time being. We will not be releasing it to the bars for a few more weeks, so this is a great opportunity to fill your growlers before anyone else can!

The brewery is located at 2953 SE Ridgeway Dr SE; Turner.

Help us celebrate by sampling brews, downing pints, filling growlers, eating sausages, and jamming to live music! Make sure you don’t miss out on this event since we won’t have very many at the brewery this summer! Let’s hope for some good sunshine!

Gilgamesh brewers, Matt & Justin, are in a band called Porches who will be playing Friday night with two Seattle bands, Origami Ghosts and Webelos. WE WILL BE RELEASING THE 2010/2011 MEGA MONSTER! Five Gilgamesh brews will be on tap with $2 pint specials for part of the night ($3 pints the rest of the time).

As with every Saturday in the foreseeable future, Gilgamesh Brewing will be at the Salem Public Market. The fun this will weekend will include the unveiling of the GORGEOUS new bar that Lee has been slaving over for the last couple of weeks. We will now have UP TO EIGHT BREWS on tap at any given time!

To celebrate this weekend, we will be giving a raffle ticket for each growler purchase/refill at the market this Saturday. At the end of the day, we will we pick a name from the raffle tickets for a Gilgamesh gift certificate (good for a growler or t-shirt).

As many of you know, our neighbors in Aumsville were hit with a tornado shortly before Christmas. We asked folks to bring canned or non-perishable foods to the next growler day and we had a great turnout.
